Mr. Chancellor, I have the honour to present to you Heidi Rathjen and Wendy Cukier, two remarkable women whose devotion, energy and perseverance resulted in the adoption of Bill C-28 on gun control by the Canadian Parliament.

In , Wendy Cukier and Heidi Rathjen founded the Coalition for Gun Control and became the driving force in the crusade to have Bill C become law.

Heidi Rathjen is a graduate of École Polytechnique in Montreal and coordinator of Poly Remembers.
