          Michael Hutchence, born Michael Kelland John Hutchence in 1960, was the lead vocalist of the Australian rock band INXS.

          He was born in Sydney, Australia to parents Kell and Patricia Hutchence and spent most of his childhood in Hong Kong before returning to Australia as a teenager.

          Hutchence formed a close friendship with Andrew Farriss and Garry Beers, and together they formed the band that would later become known as INXS.

          After the Farriss family moved to Perth, the rest of the band members followed to stay together. They eventually returned to Sydney and continued working on their debut album, which was titled "INXS."
